1 Truck Overturned in Hower Gap
Mifflintown Hose Co No1, June 13
Just before 1430 this afternoon, crews were sent up Hower Gap Road, for a vehicle overturned in the creek. Chief 2 (Henry) arrived, occupant was out and with PSP. No injury. Truck was on its side near the creek. Rescue 2 staged at the state game lands lot. Utility 2 also on scene, EMS cleared.

2 Vehicle MVA Involving a Bear
Mifflintown Hose Co No1, June 11
Around 2156, crews were sent to Fermanagh Twp, Rt 322 W, top of 100 mph hill in the construction zone, for an MVA with injury. Car vs Bear. Crews arrived, Vehicle 1 struck the bear, Vehicle 2 struck Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1’s driver was transported for minor injuries, Vehicle 2’s driver was uninjured. The bear had no vital signs and was deemed beyond help, Class 4. Game Commission notified.

Vehicle Hits Port Royal Bridge

Walker Township Rt 75 N, end of the bridge MVA - possible entrapment 1 vehicle into the bridge

Fire at Local Business
Mifflintown Hose Co No1, May 23
5/23/25 around 0930 1st alarm units were sent to D&S Shavings on Pine Grove Rd, for a reported building fire. Box 2-05. Chief 2 arrived, they had fire on top the shaker and the duct. Employees on site had things under control. Chief 2 held Co2 non emergency, rest available.

Jackknifed Semi on the Highway
Mifflintown Hose Co No1, May 22
Around 1635 units were sent to Rt 322 E/B for a tractor trailer accident. Box 2-08. Units arrived to find a semi, jackknifed in the median. Driver was ok. One saddle tank was ruptured (leak approx 100 gallon) and the trailer was loaded with paint. Crews were able to plug the leak and provided traffic control until Parson’s was able to remove the semi.
