1523 - Box 2-01 Units were sent to Fermanagh Twp, Cedar Springs & Industrial Park Rd, for an MVA with injuries. Box 2-01. Rescue 2 marked out with 5, Chief 2 to the scene. JCCC advised 2 vehicles, with injuries, 1 vehicle into a pole. Chief 2 arrived, confirmed dispatch, adding entrapment in one vehicle. 1130 - Box 2-07 Units were sent to Rt 322 E/B, 1 mile West of Mifflintown, for an MVA with injury. Box 2-07. Rescue 2 marked out with 6, Chief 2-2 to the scene. JCCC advised possibly 3 vehicles with injury. Crews arrived, confirmed 2 vehicles off the road, 2 minor injuries. Both vehicles secured and all occupants to EMS.

Crews Handle Several Weather Related Calls
Mifflintown Hose Co No1, August 29
Starting around 2200, calls started coming in during a severe storm. First call was for a roof off a house on Cedar Springs Rd, no injuries. Just down the road, we encountered a partial roof on the road. Further investigation, found 3 barns collapsed with hundreds of livestock trapped. 1454 - Box 2-09 Units were sent to Milford Twp, Rt 35 S / Zook Hill Rd, for an MVA involving a motorcycle. Box 2-09. Rescue 2 marked out with 3, Capt 2 to the scene. JCCC advised 1 motorcycle vs tractor with injury. Capt 2 arrived, confirmed 1 rider down with severe injuries. Brush 5 was requested to shut down Rt 35 at Academia Rd. 1934 - Box 2-05 1st alarm units were sent to Fermanagh Twp, 208 Village Dr, for a residential box. Engine 2 marked out with 5, Chief 2-2 in the seat. JCCC advised kitchen was filling with smoke, unknown origin. Crews arrived, found light smoke in the kitchen, found an oven mitt and contents smoldering in a drawer. Items removed from the structure, no extension, ventilation done. No injuries.

Went over Knox boxes, building layouts, evacuation plans, fire alarm procedures, standpipe locations/operations and safety issues/concerns.
