| 0127 this morning, 1st alarm units were sent to the 2300 block of William Penn Hwy, for a structure fire. Box 2-01. Eng2 marked out with 5, JCCC advised some kind of camper on fire next to a garage. Chief 2-2 arrived, reported 2 campers off, extending into the garage, which was attached to the house trailer. Eng2 arrived, deployed the 2.5” for initial, then 2 additional hand lines, one to the garage, one inside the residence. Squad 1 laid in from the old Lauver’s Garage and supplied the scene, their crew assisted with suppression. All manpower forward. Single resident was out with his dog, interior crews did rescue his cat. The campers and garage were a total loss, the residence did sustain some fire damage along the garage side, smoke throughout. Crews were on scene approx 3 hours. No injuries reported. Red Cross was summoned to assist. Good job to all crews.
