Solar energy poses a different danger for responders. This evening crews took the Engine, Rescue, Utility - along with Friendship Fire and Juniata County EMA - to the Nelson Road Solar Field for a safety brief and a walk thru of the facility. Jason & Adam from Nova Source Power went over safety concerns and expectations in the event of an emergency on the grounds. Crews asked questions and gathered information during the tour. We thank Jason & Adam for their time and their expertise on a topic that is new to the area and new to us.
