1st alarm units were sent to Walker Twp, Free Spring Church Rd off Cedar Springs Road (Van Wert) for a reported working barn fire. Chief 6 marked out, JCCC advised a fully involved hay barn endangering a hog barn. Chief 6 requested several additional tankers and engines for manpower. Engine 8 had fillsite at the river. Crews worked the scene for hours. No injuries to humans or animals.
