Solar energy poses a different danger for responders. This evening crews took the Engine, Rescue, Utility - along with Friendship Fire and Juniata County EMA - to the Nelson Road Solar Field for a safety brief and a walk thru of the facility. Jason & Adam from Nova Source Power went over safety concerns and expectations in the event of an emergency on the grounds. Crews asked questions and gathered information during the tour.
